FORT WORTH, TXMarch 14, 2016 – The Fort Worth Admin Awards voted Ramona Kelley, Psychology Insurance Verification & Scheduling Coordinator at Child Study Center a finalist in their Administrative Excellence in Healthcare Category. This award, presented to an administrative professional employed within the healthcare industry, recognizes Ms. Kelley as having a passion for the healthcare industry, exceptional customer service skills and a positive impact on their organization, co-workers, vendors and clients.


“Ramona always works with the best interest of our patients and providers in mind,” Child Study Center’s Clinical Director, Matt Robison, noted. “She consistently goes above and beyond to coordinate patient and provider schedules to provide the best patient experience at the Center while maximizing provider productivity and efficiency.  I appreciate that her thorough communication about what to expect at a patient visit means that there are never any surprises for our patients or our providers.”

Ramona Kelley is the administrative assistant for Child Study Center’s psychology department, which can range from three to six doctors at any given time. In this capacity she serves as an insurance verification and scheduling coordinator, communicating with the families on financial expectations, insurance guidelines, and issues with transportation and their challenges with payment for services. Ms. Kelley has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 35 years in a variety of positions; prior to joining the team at Child Study Center, she worked in Medical Records for Dallas Methodist Hospital and as an Office Manager for several psychiatrists for more than 20 years.


“Ramona is the first line of contact for many of the families served by the psychology department, and she effectively and thoroughly outlines expectations for the family,” said Margaret Dempsey, PH.D., Director of Psychology at Child Study Center. “Families often comment on how well she prepared them for the process and are excited to meet the person that assisted them from the time of their application to the first visit.”
